REPERTI, cello ensemble+piano
“Reperti” is a sort of Suite partly based on unpublished fragments by Mendelssohn and Beethoven. From Mendelssohn, there is a Canon written on a postcard dedicated to the cellist Alfredo Piatti, and the subject of a Cello Fugue that was never developed; from Beethoven, there are three fragments from the Biamonti Catalogue. The suite concludes with a theme of mine sourced from my children's Opera titled Acquaprofonda, also from 2020.
The second movement (Cello Fuga) is available from Ricercare Editions also as a single piece.
