Gianbattista Cirri | Sonatas op. 15, 2 cellos

€20.00

(ed. Giovanni Sollima - text editing Andrea Cavuoto)

Cirri published the Sonatas op.15 in the span 1775-1780, when he was at the peak of his activity as a virtuoso. Considered one of his most mature works, the Sonatas show a 3 movements setting and an ideal control of the forms and the virtuosic nature of the solo part. The bass line, albeit provided with figures, suggest a performance with a 2nd cello, who often interacts with the solo line, displaying common slurs and articulations.
